2nd for Melandri

2nd for Melandri

MelandriThis weekends World Superbike in Germany saw a lot drama with both Leon Camier and Jonothan Rea slipping on lap 18 on the same corner. Spidi and Xlite pilot Camier had been climbing up the rankings from an 11th place starting position and was fighting with Sylvain Guintoli for fifth when he hit oil deposited by Federico Sandi’s expired Pedercini Kawasaki at the high-speed Schumacher S. The brit had to be airlifted to hospital but has now fortunately been discharged with no broken bones!

Spidi and Nolan pilot Marco Melandri could have been on for two wins, but with both races being red flagged, he missed out. Race 1 was won by the British Tom Sykes and Race 2 by Chaz Davies.

In Superstock, 2nd Barrier, 3rd Canepa and 4th Guarnoni.
