Aragon: last flashes of summer in a very tactical race!

Spain offered us one last chance to enjoy the summer races for this season, in a very strategic weekend at the Aragon track.
Nolan Group riders did well throughout, always racing with both brains and heart. No podiums overall, but Alex Rins fighting for a 4th place finish, the same position for Enea Bastianini in Moto3. Danilo Petrucci was unfortunate to have to contest with technical problems, but he pushed the bike to its best to pick up a 7th place finish.
Only 5 race left of this seasons MotoGP, the long trip to Thailand up next, best wishes for anyone making the journey! If not, then do what you can to support our guys from back home!
Moto GP
Alex Rins FOURTH
“I’m very happy and the weekend has been very productive for the whole team. The race has been a very nice fight. I have learnt a lot battling in front and following Márquez and Dovizioso and also fighting with Andrea. It has been great! This result is good motivation to keep pushing, and especially in Thailand which is a track that I like a lot.”

Danilo Petrucci SEVENTH
“I’m not very satisfied with this race. The first 10 laps I tried to stay with the leading group but I felt a vibration in the rear tyre that didn’t allow me to push to the maximum.”

Moto3
Enea Bastianini FOURTH
“I do not agree with the penalty received, I especially do not understand why we did not say it yesterday, as usually happens in these cases. Instead, communication came to the Team a few minutes before the Warm Up session, with no time to appeal by providing my version of events, nor being able to view the video evidence. I respect the decisions of the Race Direction, but on this occasion I do not agree: I did my lap-time without any slipstream. Too bad, because today we were competitive and we could have won the race. I had to push a lot at the beginning to be able to recover as many positions as possible: it was also exciting and I enjoyed it. In the second part I also had to handle the tires’ wear. I earned one more position in the world rankings, we will draw conclusions at the end of the Championship.”
